Outstanding officials who contributed to the national vaccination campaign being awarded Certificates of Congratulations and medals.

The government of the Lao PDR has awarded Labour Victorious Medals, Labour Cross Medals and Certificates of Congratulations to over 3,800 organisations, 7,600 individuals, and 10 donors in recognition of their contribution to implementing the anti-measles and rubella vaccination campaign.

Last year, 97 per cent of target groups (approximately 2.2 million people), aged between nine months and 19 years of age, was vaccinated with anti-measles and rubella vaccines, higher than an initially set target.

The awards were presented to the awardees on Jan 17 at the Government Office by its Minister Mrs. Khempheng Pholsena, who is Chairwoman of the National Commission on Mothers and Children.
