Over 7,500 households access safe water in Sebang Fai

Over 7,500 households in Sebang Fai district, Khammaoune province, have reportedly gained access to safe water and sanitation facilities thanks to a development project co-implemented by the government and the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

A handover ceremony for the basic infrastructure development project was held last week between Resident Representative of KOICA to Laos Mr. Kwon Young Eui and Governor of Khammouane Mr. Khambay Damlath. The handover was in the witness of Director of the Housing and Urban Planning Department Mr. Khamthavy Thayphachanh, relevant officials and local people.

The beneficiaries of the development project are in four villages of Sebang Fai district, the handover ceremony was told. The KOICA to Laos has contributed USD1.17 million to the development project.
