Senior official of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party meets with Cuban guest

(KPL) A senior leader of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Boun-nhang Vorachit met with Mr. Victor Gaute Lopez, a member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Cuba (CCP) Central Committee, last Friday in Vientiane.

Mr. Lopez and his delegation arrived Vientiane on 20 April for a four-day working visit to Laos as a guest of the LPRP.

At cordial talk, Mr. Bounnhang Vorachit, the LPRP CC Politburo member, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the LPRP Central Committee, praised and highly valued the visit to Laos of the Cuban delegation as a great contribution to the existing friendship relation and cooperation between the two parties, states and people of Laos and Cuba.

He also applauded the achievements made by Cuban people under the leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba.

Mr. Bounnhang Vorachit briefed his guests about the current situations in the Lao PDR and highly valued the development of relations between the two parties. He also expressed thanks and gratitude to the Communist Party of Cuba, Cuban government and people for their assistances and support to Laos, so far.

Mr. Lopez has also expressed thanks to Mr Bounnhang who is also Vice President of the Lao PDR for giving his delegation a warm welcome and he expressed happy for visiting Laos and to see the current achievements in national development of Lao people.

He also expressed satisfy to the existing milestone bilateral cooperation between two parties, governments and people, which contributed to peaceful, friendship and regional cooperation as well as worldwide.

A meeting between two high-ranking delegations was held last Saturday to discuss further future bilateral cooperation.
