Vietnamese, Lao youths share experience

A Vietnamese youth delegation of the centrally-run agencies, led by Nguyen Ngoc Luong, a member of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, is on a visit to Laos from Oct. 25-30.

The delegation held talk with a delegation of the municipal Vientiane Youth Union Committee led by its Secretary Bountham Phutthavong on Oct. 28.

At the talks, the two delegations shared experience in youth union work as well as in activities to mobilise young people.

They signed a memorandum of understanding under which the two sides will increase coordination in educating the Vietnamese and Lao young people about the special, traditional neighbourliness and friendship between Vietnam and Laos .

They also discussed issues of mutual concern by the two countries’ young people in the fields of information technology, economics, society, culture, education and training, health care, environment and administration reform.

Within the frame work of the visit, the Vietnamese delegation visited and presented gifts to families of social policy beneficiaries and joined in cultural and sports exchanges.
