Khammouane trains health workers for treatment of children with disabilities

Handicapped citizens successfully integrating within the Lao workforce.

(KPL) Khammouane Provincial Health School is organizing a training course designed for helping develop skills in medical treatment of children with disabilities and family planning for health workers on September 5-23.

The training constitutes contribution to the reduction of mother and newborn death toll in the province and the achievement of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals by 2015.

The trainees were also equipped with knowledge and skills of birth giving, birth attendance, disease immunization for children.

Present at the opening ceremony were Deputy Head of Khammouane Provincial Health Service Dr. Phasouk Khammanythong, Director of Khammouane Provincial Health School Dr. Sengpheth Souvannalasy and relevant officials.
