Village volunteers trained for better health education in Luang Namtha

(KPL) Public Health Office of Long district in cooperation with the Poverty Reduction Fund organized early this month in Long district, Luang Namtha province, a training course on public health education for village volunteers in remote areas.

The opening ceremony of the training course was attended by Dr. Nolin Maithong, Head of Health Office Service of Long district, relevant officials and trainees from three village clusters: Chongka, Chamai and Siengkong.

The training is designed to equip village volunteers with knowledge of administering first aid and educating local people about preventive measures against diseases, mainly diarrhea and malaria.

The training was financed by the Poverty Reduction Fund (PRF) in Long district, Luang Namtha province.
