Vice President visits Huaphan to boost social-economic development

(KPL) On 10-11 May, Mr. Bounnhang Vorachit, Vice President of the Lao PDR visited the northern province of Huaphan to boost its social-economic development.

Mr. Bounnhang Vorachit was warmly welcomed by Mr. Khamhoung Heuangvongsy , Governor of Huaphan province and its chief districts.

On this occasion, Mr. Bounnhang was briefed about the social-economic development, the political building and village development cluster building in the province from Mr. Khamhoung Heuangvongsy, Secretary of Huaphan province Party Committee. Vice President then talked with the provincial Party Committee, administration, local authorities and people about production during the rainy season. He expressed congratulations for the achievements and efforts made by Huaphan province in the past few years.

Vice President Bounnhang Vorachit also provided advice for building up Party membership and improving its organization.

He urged the local cadres to provide firm guidance for Huaphan. He also asked the provincial party committee to pay more attention on implementing the 9th Party Congress resolution.

Vice President Bounnhang also urged all party members of the province to concentrate all their work to address the poverty problem for the people by upgrading their knowledge on community development and leading people in trade production.

Concerning the social-economic development plan for 2010-2011, President stressed the local administration to focus their work to improve the political affairs, especially to find the outstanding party member in order to create them as the new generate official; to encourage the ethnic people and women to contribute for social-economic development and continue to build the young people with knowledge and capacity as new successors.
