PM praises Luang Prabang, calls for unity

(KPL) Recently Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong praised the efforts of some Luangprabang people in ensuring better lives for themselves, by implementing the Party’s policy and called for all ethnic groups to unite and ensure the stability of politic.

Mr. Thongsing talked to officials, military personnel and police officers, as well as well known figures in Luangprabang province when he visited on 9 March.

After being briefed about the activities in the areas of socio-economic development, national defence and security by the provincial governor, PM Thongsing praised cadres, party members, and all parties as well as local people for their efforts in implementing the party’s policy as well as state laws. He said by doing so they had ensured local security and improvements in people’s living conditions, step by step.

He also told them about the current situation of the friendly countries and the social-economic development plan of the Lao PDR. Concerning the development in the Luangprabang province, Mr. Thongsing Thammavongh has asked the authorities of the province to find the real conditions and potentials to develop and to encourage the agricultural production in order to bring the people from poverty line.

Mr. Thongsing Thammavong also called for ethnic people of all social strata to develop the landscape of the city and to preserve the traditional culture of the world heritage town of Luangprabang.
