March 5, 2011

The Pathet Lao

(KPL) Dark Chueng authorities have presented more than 10 million kip in cash to a family of a revolutionary who fought to death for the revolutionary cause of the country in the 1950s.

The handover of the cash was held on 25 February at the Dark Chueng District Administration Office between Deputy Chief of Dark Chueng district Noupheth Chanthamath and member of the family Sengvina.

The cash presentation demonstrates the materialisation of the social welfare policy of the Party and government for the Lao nationals who have contributed to the revolutionary cause of the country during the Indochina War, according to Prime Minister’s Decree No 343/PM dated 25 September 2007 and the decision by Minister of Labour and Social Welfare No 84/MLSW dated 18 March 2010.

‘In the last 2009-2010 year, our Labour and Social Welfare Service approved more than 200 million kip for making merit for 20 revolutionaries and we will further provide money to other revolutionaries and their families,’ said Mr. Noupheth.
