Presidential Office’s youths to make more effort in ideological education

(KPL) The Youth Organisation in the Presidential Office agreed at its third congress held last Friday that the organisation would further exert more efforts in ideological education of its members over the next five years.

The enhancement of capacity building for youth members, the dissemination of Youth Law and the resolution of the Sixth Congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union as well as the resolution of the second congress of the Party Cell of the Presidential Office are also included in the next five-year plan of the Organisation, according to Secretary of the Youth Organisation in the Presidential Office Mr. Khamkiao Keopaseuth.

Present at the event were Minister to the Presidential Office Mr. Phongsavath Boupha, and Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union, Mr. Khamphanh Sitthidampha, and members and management of the Youth Organisation as well as representatives of the trade union, women organisation in the Presidential Office.

The meeting learned the political report of the Youth Organisation of the Presidential Office presented by the Secretary of the Organisation Mr. Khamkiao Keopaseuth.

The report pointed to both weaknesses and strong points of the Youth Organisation of the Presidential Office regarding its function over the past five years.

‘Youth members firmly grasp Party policies and prioritise ideological education. The youth of the Presidential Office are advised to strengthen internal unity and harmony,’ said Mr. Khamkiao.

‘We have scored a number of accomplishments because we have been under close supervision from the Party and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union,’ said Mr. Khamkiao.
