Over 1,400 families in Samneua expect electricity supply

Market in the Samneua district

(KPL) More than 1,400 families in 37 villages of Vene and Houaiko development village clusters, Samneua district, Houaphanh province, expect to enjoy electricity supply in the next 30 months.

An agreement on the installation of a 145-km long 22-kv power grid and a 41-km long 0.4 kv line for the two development village clusters was signed in Vientiane Capital on January 21. The cost of the installation is estimated at 67 billion kip.

The signatories to the document were Deputy Office Head of the Ministry of Energy and Mining, Mr. Chaleun Inthavy, Director of the Provincial Energy and Mining Service of Houaphanh, Mr. Phonevilay Phengsilichanh, and Director of the Phethlayvanh Electricity Limited, Mr. Phet Vongkhanty.

Witnessing the signing ceremony were Standing Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Somsavat Lengsavad and relevant officials of both sides.
