Education to come to Laotians even in the remotest areas of the country

(KPL) Mr. Thongsing Thammavong, President of the National Assembly said that education should be accessible to Laotians who lived in the remotest areas in the country.

He said this during the Seventh General meeting of the Party Cell of the Ministry of Education held at the National University of Laos, Vientiane, 5 November.

The Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Phanhkham Viphavanh, who was also at this meeting, said, “Over last five years, the officers of the education sector worked hard so that they achieved a set of targets, such as, planning strategy on national education reform and teacher training (2006-2015)”.

Mr. Thongsing also expressed the need to achieve all the targets set by the Party Cell of the Ministry of Education and he urged this Party Cell to pay special attention to education, to raise academic standards and to bring education to all the remote areas in the country.
